I am thrilled to be able to announce that this week I've sealed a deal to supply print design to Nomads Clothing, a fantastic fair trade clothing company based in Cornwall, for their Spring/Summer '19 range. As I live in Cornwall it's great to work with a local company.

Nomads produce quality clothing on a fair trade and ethical business model; working with their fabric and garment manufacturers in India, having built up close ties over many years with the companies and workers they use.

Check out their website using the link on the picture for this post. As I said previously, I gave up my teaching job last year and am focused on building a business as a surface pattern designer. I want to produce gorgeous limited edition fabrics and clothing to my own design, license artwork and run workshops and community programmes...I want to do so much. But...I have absolutely no money at the moment and Ian is working all the hours he can to keep our family afloat and support me in this endeavour.

I've never run a business before....

And when would that be? I asked myself. As a (reluctant to admit it) perfectionist and control freak I want everything I do to arrive fully formed and fantastic, a sort of 'Ta-dah!' moment in the unveiling. But the fact of the matter is that I have begun an adventure and am lea...
